JUDGE'S CRITIQUES

Firstly I would like to thank Paignton & District FA for the appointment also thanks to the exhibitors who brought along their dogs for me to judge. It was in my opinion a strong entry with many good quality dogs; temperaments in the main were very good with the odd grumbler, none of which were placed. There was only one level bite all others having correct scissors bite which is nice to see, coats also in the main were of good quality, there were some incorrect tails breeders should remember that the waving plume is a part of what makes a Mal look like a Mal, type.

1. Mr & Mrs Blackburn’s Chayo Ice Cold Apparition. 8 mths, a well-balanced young dog that moved soundly and in control for a young one, he has a pleasing head in good proportions with a strong deep muzzle nice eye & ear and correct harsh coat. BP
2. Mr & Mrs Wilson’s Chayo Dare to be Different. 8 mths, A young dog with substance/bone a correct coat and strong head, while he moved well he was loose when compared to 1, he has time and is overall a pleasing boy

1. Mr & Mrs Robb’s Icewolf Max a Million. A lively young lad who enjoyed himself when moving, he did move soundly displaying drive as is expected, shown in good coat and nice hard condition, he has a good look about him with a correct topline and impressive plume on the move. His head is well proportioned with eyes & ears giving the typical soft expression. One to watch I think.
2. Mr Dowey’s Libertia Arctic Wynter. A powerfully built dog with good substance a breed typical strong head with deep muzzle and pleasant expression. When moving he displayed effective drive, pleasing tail carriage & correct topline.

1. Mr & Mrs Mort’s Aricticbreeze Fast N Furious. A dog I have liked for sometime, very well balanced, his angles & topline mean he moves easily showing the desired drive, well muscled which always aids movement further. He has a pleasing head in correct proportions with a nice dark eye and small ears set correctly.
2. Miss Wolfe’s Hawkeye Polarni Usvit within Dreamwolves. A well-built powerful looking dog with good bone, he moved soundly driving at the rear. He has a strong head with a deep strong muzzle, eyes & ears are correct.
3. Mr Davey & Mr Greenway’s Snobruk Spirt of Fire at Wintatrails.

1. Mrs Roper’s Tokosha Atka. A super mover who displays the desired drive, moving true from any angle. He has good substance and was well muscled. When standing he shows his topline & angles well. A pleasing head with strong muzzle correct ear size & placement he does have a slightly round eye but this does not take much away from a very good overall dog. Res Dog CC
2. Mr & Mrs Waker’s Casiat Fuori Dal Mondo Di Alchawak. Another well balanced sound moving dog driving as expected, he has a correct topline & tail set he was in good harsh coat, a very pleasing head with eyes, ears and muzzle as they should be.

1. Ms Janicka’s Lord of the Rings Appalachian. A very impressive solidly constructed dog with bags of substance he was the best mover on the day showing all of the drive and purpose you expect for the breed. His angles, topline, tail set and spring of rib give an overall very good look to this dog. He has an excellent head, strong & powerful muzzle with small correctly placed ears; he looks very masculine but has the desired soft expression. Dog CC & BOB
2. Mr & Mrs Harris’ Ivram & Woodlands I am One of Snowtwinkle. A very solid well boned dog who displayed power and drive on the move, he has bags of substance a very strong powerful head and impressive deep broad muzzle, eyes and ears are correctly shaped, sized and placed giving an overall pleasing dog.
3. Mrs Burnside’s Libertia Reggae Master.

1. Mrs Wilkinson & Mrs Jelfs’ Lapema Angelo Di Ciel. 9 mths, A very pleasing young girl, she moved true and in control. She has good bone, correct angles and a nice sloping topline. She has overall a good head for a youngster with a nice eye shape & colour, ears correctly rounded and set correctly. In good coat. She could be one to watch.
2. Ms Ellis’ Sno Quest’s Turn Back Time for Chayo. 8 mths, a well-constructed girl in good proportion and has a pleasing look when standing with good angles & topline. She has a very feminine head, kind expression; muzzle is strong for a young one. When moving she was sound and had purpose to her action.
3. Mr Forsey & Miss Louch’s Magician Day Before You Came at Muzoku.

1. Mrs Shah’s Shamanrock Destiny Child. 15 mths, a very well balanced girl who moves with ease and looks very efficient. She has good bone/substance a nice harsh coat, correct topline & good spring of rib for a youngster. Her head while pleasing with nice ears & eyes giving the typical soft expression will need to develop to have a strong look too, this will surely come with maturity.
2. Mr Forsey & Miss Louch’s Magician Day Before You Came at Muzoku. 8 mths, A well balanced young girl with good topline and correct tail set when moving she remains balanced and in control displaying soundness, she has a good coat but didn’t have it all with her on the day. A pleasing head with good eye shape, place & colour, a strong muzzle, slightly smaller ear would have finished her head off well.
3. Miss K & Miss C Druce’s Koromandael On Strange Tides.

1. Mr & Mrs Mort’s Arcticbreeze Midnite Echo. A very well balanced & proportioned girl looks impressive when standing but more so when moving she drives and flows effectively and was in very good condition. She has a good harsh coat, a very pleasing strong head with a nice dark eye well placed & correctly shaped and a good muzzle.
2. Mr Blackburn’s Celticwolf Long Night. A solidly built well-balanced girl with good proportions she moves soundly and true, she was in good hard condition. A good head and pleasing expression with ears placed correctly, she has a very nice look about her.
3. Mr Forsey & Miss Louch’s Libertia Platinum Princess.

1. Miss Wolfe’s Follow my dreams Polarni Usvit via Dreamwolves. This bitch is an overall very impressive solid girl, shown in hard condition, she has just the right amount of substance for a bitch. The above provides her with excellent movement showing drive and purpose she flows around the ring. Her coat is correctly harsh to the touch; she has a strong head with powerful looking muzzle correct ear place and shape, lovely dark eye that gives that typical soft expression. Bitch CC
2. Mrs Roper’s Tokosha Issumatar. A very good bitch that has substance and good overall shape and balance, she moved with drive & purpose she has a pleasing head and soft expression a deeper muzzle would improve her head, her overall shape is very good, tail set & spring of rib are just what they should be. She was handled very well to show all of her best attributes.
3. Mrs Prout’s Czech Me Out Shamanrock

1. Ms Ellis’ Chayo Elise. A very well put together girl who drives with effortless purpose when moving. She has the good substance many bitches do not. Her coat is correct & harsh to touch albeit not in full coat at the time. She has a very nice head with strong muzzle, ears & eyes are correct in shape size & position, giving the typical strong head and soft expression. Overall a really nice girl. Bitch Res CC
2. Ms Russell-Morgan, Ms Cameron & Ms McGrae’s Chayo Careless Whisper. Just short of 1 on movement, but an again a very well balanced, well-proportioned girl, who moved true and soundly. Her head is powerful and pleasing with correct soft expression good eyes & ears a strong muzzle, her coat is harsh & correct and on another day she may get ahead of 1
